It was such a lovely arrangement I decided to paint it but then thought it needed some Chick-a-dees. They did bloom but well after this painting was done. I loved the pinkish buds. I wanted to play around with the glazes used multple glaze layers to achieve the fun patterns on his shell. After the firing I finished with soft accents of liquid gold. I think he turned out so realistic and fun! 2nd
